Wacky Watercooler 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop (I'm back!)

Hello!

I'm back! It's been a long time since I've posted on this blog.  The main reason is because my laptop was out of commission. I've finally bought a new one... just in time to participate in this alumni blog hop! (How I have missed you all, Watercooler Gang!)

A lot has happened since my last post. It has been a very difficult year! I have not been crafting as much as I would like to due to some of the things that have been happening lately, including the injury I mention in my last post in April 2015.  So, when Heidi contacted me about this alumni blog hop, I thought it would be a good chance to "jump back in".

With a new computer, I'll do my best to post more regularly. I have not returned as a demonstrator, so I will soon make changes on my blog to reflect that (including a name change). Something I meant to do a year ago! But until the blog hop is finished, I will leave it as it is. I hope that you will continue to come by and visit me and follow my creative journey.

And now on with the blog hop....

If you're new here, the Wacky Watercooler is a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators (and now, former demonstrators) who have come together to share their creations, using Stampin' Up! product. The blog hop goes in a circular motion, so it does not matter where you begin, you'll see all the posters. If you did start in order, you will be coming from my Stampin' Idol, Jean Fitch's blog and moving to my friend Heidi Weaver's blog from here.   At any time, you may click the "home" button to see the list of bloggers.

My projects for this blog hop:

Project One: Featuring an Anniversary Card.

July is a month of memories for me.  This month would have been my 13th wedding anniversary.  For this Anniversary project, I have used the new Bear Hugs stamp set, as my late husband and I love bears.  The colors I chose also are similar to our wedding day colors.

Project Two: Featuring a stamp set that has survived since being introduced in 2013 (Wetlands, Gorgeous Grunge, Flower Shop).

For this project, I have used both Wetlands and Gorgeous Grunge to create a simple Masculine card.

Project Three: Featuring your version of a CASE from the original blog hop.

For this project, I have chosen to CASE Deborah Smart's card. While my card is different, I used the same stamp set and coloring technique that Deborah uses in her post.

Thank you for checking out my projects! I'm happy to be back, and hope to do more creating and sharing. Please do leave a message to let me know you were here. I'd love to hear from you! Come by again soon!

Also a quick shout out to the Watercooler Gang for keeping this blog hop up and running and for inviting me back for this anniversary.

First up is our Favorite Past Project of our fellow participants.  I drew Pricilla's name and I CASED this project of hers.

Here's my version of her project:

The next project is using some of our favorite product from the new Occasions Catalogue and SAB.

Here's what I made:

Hope you've enjoyed my projects.  Please leave a comment to let me know you were here....  Click the links below to move through the blog hop! At any time click the HOME to head back to the main list.

Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop - Best of....

Welcome to the Best of.... Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop!

As always, the blog hop goes in circular motion, so you'll be going around in a circle from wherever you start you'll end up.   If you are following from the beginning then you should be arriving from Gail's blog and going to Stefanie's blog from here.

This time we are doing something a little different. First we are choosing the best of another Watercooler member's blog hop projects and CASE-ing it. Then we are doing best of current product and best of retired product.

Today I have for you the best of Jeanne's watercooler blog hop projects. Click HERE to see the original version. Here's my version:

As you can see, I changed the color, the words and the background but otherwise I did the same idea. I also added dazzling details to the word "Joy".  Such a fun and simple card to make that will WOW people.

Secondly, I did a project for Best of current products.  I chose to feature the Bundles as my current project. All the bundles in the catalogue are fabulous!  And not to mention you get a 15% discount for bundling up.  For my project I used the bundle with the Bright and Beautiful stamp set and the Stars framelits :

I made a simple star shaped ornament by stamping several stars in the silver metallic ink and embossing them with silver embossing powder. And of course cutting them out so simply with the star framelits. I folded each star and glued them all together.  I used one of my favorite retired product, the Crop-a-dile to punch a hole and then I strung the silver ribbon through to complete the ornament.

Hope you've enjoyed this hop!! Please leave a comment to let me know you were here...

Wacky Watercooler October Blog Hop

It's time for another blog hop!  If you're new here, this blog hops in a circular motion, so no matter where you start, you'll end up back to the beginning.  If you're following this blog hop in order of appearance, you'll have come from KatheD's blog and from here, you'll go to Kath Rick's blog.  I feel like a sandwich between the Kath(e)'s ! :)

This time the focus is on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since we have already had Thanksgiving here in Canada, I will focus on Christmas. I only have two projects for you today. I hope you'll enjoy them. You'll notice a bit of "oopsies" on both of them but I decided to leave it be. Crafting isn't about perfection as much as it is about having fun.

First up, I made this ornament using the Simply Pressed Clay and the Bears from the Bearing Gifts and White Christmas stamp sets. I added some sparkle using the dazzling details.

Close up. A little tribute to my bears.

Next up I made a gift tag. I made it longer than a normal tag so it could dub as a bookmark if one wanted to.  I used the White Christmas set on this one also. The bird, however, comes from the Festival of Trees.

A little pop of color with the Cherry Cobbler.

I hope you've enjoyed the projects I have shared with you today.

Please leave a comment to let me know you were here before you hop along to the next post so I know you were here!!

Wacky Watercooler September Blog Hop

September already! The summer flew by. We have been having some cooler weather lately. I enjoy the fall colors and wearing my hoodies, but I am not ready for it to get much colder than has been.

This blog hop is focused on Fall theme.  As always, this hop goes in circular motion, so it doesn't matter where you start, you'll end up in the same spot.  If you've been following it in order then you've arrived from Jackie's blog. This is the last stop on the September hop, so when you click the "Next" button, you'll end up back at Stefanie's blog.

If at any time you get lost you can click the HOME button to get to the blog hop main page.

Here are my fall theme creations for this hop, featuring items from both the 2014-15 Annual Catalogue as well as the Current Holiday Mini.  Hope you enjoy!!

This card uses the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and coordinating framlits. It also uses the Many Thanks stamp set and the Filigree Frame Embossing Folder.

I just love the White Christmas stamp set but it isn't just for winter.  Here I used the trees from that set and then added the colorful leaves using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  I made the button with the Simply Pressed Clay and tied on a linen bow.

Finally this one is just a simple card using the Kinda Eclectic stamp set. I've seen similar ones online but I didn't directly CASE any particular project.

Hope you've enjoyed these projects and the blog hop.  Thank you for stopping by. Please leave a comment to let me know you were here....

Wacky Watercooler August Blog Hop

Hard to believe it is time for the August Blog Hop already. Where has the summer gone??? Went way too fast for me!!

As always this blog hop will go in circular motion, so no matter where you start, you'll go around in a circle and end up back at your starting point. If you went in order of the blog hop, you have come from Gail's blog and will leave here to go to Priscilla's blog.

Hope you will enjoy the projects I have for you today..

This card uses the Kinda Eclectic stamp set and Banner framelits I love this set. I used the new In-colors Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss.

This card uses a sneak peek from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue which launches on September 1st. I used the Wonderful Wreath stamp set and the coordinating framelits. The stamp set and the framelits will be available as a bundle!! It was also my first time making a circle card! So easy!!

In the Wacky Watercooler forum, I often say that I am the "Procrastination Queen". This is because more often than not, I end up doing my projects for the blog hop just a day or two before I have to post it.  Heidi joked to me that she couldn't wait to see my crown on my blog someday. Inspiration struck and a crown was made!! I made this crown using a toilet paper roll, our silver glimmer paper, the Stars framelits and the Bitty Banner framlits.   The washi tape seen here will be available in the Holiday Mini... Right now you can get the star framelits and the upcoming Bright and Beautiful stamp set as a bundle and save 15% but only until the end of August... after that it will not be available as a bundle.   Get yours today and save! Don't procrastinate like I usually do....

I had to include a picture of me wearing my crown....

Click the buttons below to navigate through the blog hop... HOME will take you to the main blog hop page. NEXT will take you to Priscilla's blog. PREVIOUS will take you back to Gail's blog.

Please leave a comment to let me know you were here!! Thanks for hopping along!!

Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop 1st Anniversary

It is the Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop's 1st Anniversary!! We are excited to have been bringing you inspiration and creations for a whole year now.

July, personally, is full of anniversaries for me. Some are good and some are bittersweet. Because of this, and the fact it's our Blog Hop's anniversary, I decided to make all my projects related to the anniversaries of my life.

In July (2007) we adopted our beautiful Big Earred Pup. She's since grown into her ears, but she's never outgrown my heart. Her name is Emma, which means "Healer of the Universe". She healed my universe, at least a little bit.

I attempted to create a punch art in her likeliness.

Here is a close up.

And here is my model with her Punch Art Twin.  What do you think??

July is a bittersweet month for me. In July (2005), I said Hello and Goodbye to my little girl. Three years later, her daddy joined her in Heaven.

I made this figurine of two angels using Stampin' Up!'s  Simply Pressed Clay.

Here is a  close up. I made them separately then pressed them together to make one figurine.

In July (2003), we got married.  It was a beautiful day.

I created these flowers in my wedding colors using the Fringe Scissors. You can see a tutorial HERE

I didn't have ribbon in any current shades of Green so I used a retired ribbon. Just because it's retired doesn't mean we shouldn't ever use it. Use up your stash today.

I hope you've enjoyed my projects today. It was nice for me to do some creating as I survive July. Thank you for being a part of my healing process.
Now if you've been hopping in order of the blog hop, you'll be hopping over to Bev's blog. At any time you may go back to the HOME page and see the list of Blog Hoppers there.

Please do leave a comment to let me know you were here!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO THE WATERCOOLER!!!
