WCC04 - Product Challenge (Fringe Scissors)
I'm back with another Watercooler Challenge. This time it is a product challenge. We chose to use Fringe Scissors for the product.
I love the Fringe Scissors. I used them HERE previously. I wanted to find more ways to use them other than just to make grass or confetti. I saw on Pinterest and the Demo-only Forum Stampin' Connection that many people were using them to make flowers. I decided to try my hand at making flowers also. I then thought to use a canvas to display them like I did with the Swallowtail Butterfly I did recently.
I chose to make the flowers in the new In-Colors Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey. I love these colors together! The stems are done in Mossy Meadow, which is also a new In-Color.
First, I created the flowers with the Fringe Scissors by folding a strip of paper in half. I then placed a long piece of Sticky Strip to the outside of the paper. The next step is to fringed them. After that, I took the back off the Sticky strip and began to roll the paper. I started with the Hello Honey then Rolled the Blackberry Bliss over that. I free-hand cut the stems and leaves with my Paper Snips. I then glue-gunned it all to the canvas paper.
Here's another view of the canvas so you can see the dimension a bit more:
I really liked how these turned out. I think these canvas artwork is quickly becoming a new favorite project of mine.
Now it's your turn to take part in the challenge. I look forward to seeing what your creative self comes up with!

Oooh! I love the flowers, Ter, and agree that they make a striking canvas. I love the "poof" of rich yellow in the centre with the ring of deep Blackberry Bliss surrounding it. You're always so creative with canvases---I'm going to have to try my hand at them, too. TFS
Love the flowers on canvas idea Ter. Now that's a flower garden that won't wilt on you. Thanks for sharing all the details and the inspiration.
