Three Cards

 Recently, my friend's 2.5 year old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. I decided to send her this card. I used the retired Beary Best Friends stamp set and the phrase is from the Best of Everything Stamp set. I felt it was an appropriate phrase for the situation, because I really do want the best for her.

I also made my friend and her other daughter a card. I think as a family they need to know that they are all in my thoughts. Here is the card I made for my friend, using the retired Strength & Hope stamp set. I felt she needs all the hope and strength she can get during this difficult time.

Here is the card I made for her other daughter. I added the two sisters names to the card after I took this photo. I used the Owl Punch, Heart framelits and the new Woodgrain embossing folder to make it look like they were peeking out from a tree. I like how it turned out.

Sometimes there isn't much you can do to help people, especially if they live far away. But letting them know that you are thinking of them means a lot. I know this from experience and I post these cards in hopes to influence you to reach out and let someone know you're thinking of them.  No need to wait for a reason.

iPhone Skins

I recently got myself an iPhone. I saw the idea to create my own iPhone skin from Connie Stewart. You can see her video tutorial HERE.

I decided to use the owl punch and the Everyday Enchantment DSP from the current Sale-a-bration catalogue. I love this paper!

The Stampin' Up! stamp is one that came with the Convention Exclusive Stamp Set Workshop Words. I inked it with Lucky Limeade.

Now my iPhone is not only cute, but it also serves as a little advertising for my business!

Valentine Card Class

On Friday, I had a valentine's card class. The cards we made were super easy and a lot of fun! Take a look:

I found the inspiration for this card on Stampin' Connection by Cathy Autrey. I made mine slightly different based upon what materials I had on hand. I water colored the tree using our blender pens and the hearts are from the Owl Punch.

This card was inspired by a card I received in our team swap made by my sideline. Again, I switched it up slightly by using different DSP. I love how simple it is yet it makes quite the impact.

This card was inspired by one I saw on my Upline's display. I gave it a little dazzle with the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.

And this card is a direct CAS of one made by my Upline's Upline for our team swap with exception of the words (I didn't have the stamp she used). I love the colors and again, it was very simple to make but has a great impact. Isn't that ruffled ribbon awesome?

Top Note Notebook

A couple of weeks ago, I had a Hostess Appreciation Celebration for all of my 2011 Hostesses. This is a little party which I show my Hostesses how much I appreciate them. We made these adorable notebooks which were based on a notebook I saw on Pinterest made by Merry Socha. I used the Everyday Enchantment DSP from SAB. (I love that paper!)
